Mandarin Oriental Boston – 3rd night free

by Carl Marks on February 21, 2011

in Hotels,USA

You know we are fans of the Mandarin, so we would be remiss to not let you in on a free night in Boston in Back Bay.  The offer is good until 31 March 2011 with rates from $419 / night.

One thing we have struggled with is getting good food in that town.  Please let us know your favorites so we can try them out and share in our next group session (it’s like attending an AA meeting except ours have a lot of A).

Vegas by Private Jet – 50% off

by Carl Marks on January 30, 2011

in Airlines,Hotels,Las Vegas,USA

There’s a new kid on the block (not the boy band).  JetSuite, a private jet company, has some amazing, tempting deals.  On their Ultimate Las Vegas Getaway, they have teamed up with the Wynn Hotel.

  • Roundtrip private jet on a Phenom 100 for 4
  • VIP roundtrip ground transportation in Vegas
  • A two-night stay in a 2 bedroom Parlor Suite with a Tower King connecting room at Wynn Las Vegas

Packages start from $3,799 during the week, or $5,999 on weekends, with air transport from the Los Angeles area (other departure cities are available too).  These rates are 50% off retail.

Travel is good through 31 December 2011. To reserve your package, call +1 (866) 779-7770.

They will also take you anywhere in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico, but the best deals are flying around their SuiteSpots, which include the metro areas of Austin, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mammoth, Orange County, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Reno/Tahoe, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson.

For about $1,000 per person on the Vegas offer, we can get used to using JetSuite.  Looks like they’ve got the right stuff.

We would be careful buying any Chateau Lafite Rothschild when in China.  Seems alcohol forgery is on the rise there.  Horrifying…

Hoxton Hotel Sale – Rooms for GBP 1

by Carl Marks on January 26, 2011

in Europe,Hotels,London

The famous £1 sale at the Hoxton Hotel in London is coming this week.  The games begin precisely on 27 January 2011 at Noon GMT.  They will release 500 rooms for dates between 1 Feb and 30 April.

If you don’t manage to get on that deal, they do have other offers on like: Valentines weekend from only £89 per night; Easter weekend from only £69 per night and weekends in May from only £49 per night.

A good deal all around even if it is in East London (but the chic and trendy bit of course).

Until 7 March 2011, you can get the 3rd night free at some of Manhattan’s finest hotels.  Signature Collection guests also receive a special VIP package from Saks Fifth Avenue, including dessert and coffee at Cafe SFA.

And if you are looking for a great view from a restaurant in the city, we like Robert on Columbus Circle overlooking Central Park.   It is also in the Museum of Art and Design so you can pretend to be artsy.
